How to become a trailer dealer

Trailers are one of the last simple, honest product lines a lot can carry: no software, no model years, no factory politics. Here is how the business works and how to get into it.

Why lots add trailer lines

Trailers complement almost any outdoor business: powersports, farm supply, sheds and buildings, auto sales, rental yards. They sit outside, they do not spoil, and every truck that drives past your lot is a potential buyer. Dealers in our network run trailers alongside everything from golf carts to feed stores.

What a manufacturer looks for

  • A visible lot. Trailers sell themselves when traffic can see them lined up.
  • Room to display. Even a modest yard works if the line is presented clean.
  • A real operator. Someone who answers the phone and follows up on leads.

Notice what is not on the list: giant capital, showrooms, or franchise fees. At Triple R the requirements are a completed dealer application and a location at least 60 miles from our nearest existing dealer.

The territory question, answered honestly

Ask any prospective manufacturer one question first: will you sign another dealer across town from me? Many will. We will not. Every Triple R dealer gets a 60 mile protected radius, because a dealer who invests in our line deserves a market that stays theirs.

What the factory should handle

Dealer pricing with real margin, delivery to your lot, marketing support, and parts and service backup when your customer needs help after the sale. That full list is our standard package. You sell the trailer; the factory stands behind both of you.

How to start

  1. Check the 60 mile map: call (662) 728-7975 and ask what territory is open near you.
  2. Fill out the dealer application: business, lot, and expected volume.
  3. We review, call back, and set up your pricing, portal login, and first load.

Trailers built since 1997, over 50,000 on the road, and open territory on the map. If your lot has the space, the line will do the rest.

Open territory does not stay open.
